You are the expert of your own body

Dr. Sacksteder pairs advanced diagnostics with targeted nutrition and lifestyle coaching. We move away from templated medicine to build a unique care plan around you.

AREAS OF FOCUS

How Dr. Sacksteder Works

Well-being relies on a complex, multi-system web; a concern in one area—whether it is bone density, metabolic function, or emotional health—is deeply connected to the others. Because symptoms rarely have a single, isolated cause, Dr. Sacksteder approaches care from multiple angles to address this multi-system involvement."

Her clinical work integrates four distinct methods: advanced testing to map unique physiology, targeted nutrition to nourish cells, evidence-based medical treatments to protect health, and lifestyle coaching to support sustainable progress. Each method informs the others, creating a cohesive, research-backed strategy delivered entirely through secure telehealth.

Labs & Diagnostic Testing

Dr. Sacksteder utilizes in-depth, multi-system blood work and advanced functional diagnostics to evaluate the physiological systems that often go unexamined. Patients complete these through a local Labcorp facility or via convenient at-home kits, ensuring distance is never a barrier to comprehensive care.

Her diagnostic approach maps your unique physiology and bone health, including:

  • Bone Health and Density Evaluations: DXA scans, Trabecular Bone Score (TBS) imaging, and bone turnover markers to assess bone quality and remodeling.

  • Comprehensive Nutrient and Hormone Panels (via Labcorp)

  • GI-MAP and Stool OMX (via Diagnostic Solutions) to assess gut microbiome and digestive function

  • Neurotransmitter and Cortisol Testing (via Doctor's Data) to evaluate stress response and mental clarity

  • Wheat Zoomer and Food Sensitivity Testing to identify systemic inflammatory triggers

  • Methylation and Genetic Markers (including MTHFR)

Dr. Sacksteder is also glad to discuss and order other specialized labs you have utilized in the past or are interested in exploring, incorporating them into your plan as clinically indicated.

Nutrition & Food as Medicine

What and how we eat is foundational to our health—food has the power to nourish, heal, and inspire. Dr. Sacksteder views food as both a creative act and the essential fuel our bodies need to support steady blood sugar, healthy detoxification, and brain and heart health.

At the same time, our relationship with food is deeply personal—shaped by family, community, and how we express love. For some, this relationship is complex or carries a history of disordered eating. Dr. Sacksteder honors all of these layers, ensuring your nutritional plan is never a rigid template. Together, you will co-create a supportive, sustainable approach that respects your history and provides the nourishment your body needs to thrive.

Coaching & Transformation

Lasting change is a process, not an event. Dr. Sacksteder recognizes that current habits and patterns often serve a purpose in life, or they wouldn't be repeated—even when there is a strong desire for a different path. Realizing sustainable progress means understanding what motivates you, identifying the behavioral, emotional, or practical obstacles in your way, and meeting yourself with compassion rather than judgment.

Drawing on her extensive background in peer and addiction counseling, Dr. Sacksteder offers a supportive space to help you navigate these patterns. Together, you will explore what drives your choices, address barriers like time or resources, and build a foundation of self-appreciation and encouragement. By honoring every step of your progress, she partners with you to cultivate the tools and self-encouragement that support your ongoing health journey.

Targeted Therapies & Protocols

When your health goals benefit from targeted support alongside nutrition, Dr. Sacksteder integrates evidence-based natural therapies and bio-identical hormones. Rather than relying on a rigid checklist of supplements, she collaborates with you to design a streamlined, purposeful plan that respects your preferences, budget, and the pace at which you wish to make changes.

Depending on your unique physiology and goals, your collaborative plan may include:

Bio-Identical Hormones: Dr. Sacksteder stays up to date on the latest clinical research to effectively utilize bio-identical hormones (including systemic and vaginal therapies, as well as testosterone) to support endocrine health, bone density, and overall vitality.

Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs): Drawing on both personal and clinical experience, she uses CGM data as a supportive tool to help you understand your unique metabolic responses and guide real-time dietary choices.

Nutrient, Amino Acid, and Herbal Support: When indicated, she uses targeted nutrients and amino acids—often combined with supportive herbs—to optimize cellular function, improve digestion, or balance neurotransmitters for mood and sleep support.

Every protocol is carefully tailored to your testing, adjusted as your body responds, and shaped by your feedback to ensure your treatment always feels manageable and aligned with your life.
